Port Eliot Festival: Enhancing our links for a second year.

Plymouth University is enhancing its links with one of the South West’s most iconic summer events, the Port Eliot Festival.

For the second time, the University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities is to be the official Creative and Cultural Partner of the festival, taking place at the home of Lord and Lady St Germans in South East Cornwall from July 28 to 31, 2016.

Creating a mechanised maker space worthy of Heath Robinson, drop in to watch, talk and help artists Martin Smith, Nik Ramage and Jim Bond – alongside a group of emerging makers from Art, Design and Architecture with Plymouth University – to build a site-specific kinetic installation. Also on display will be some of the best examples of automata and mechanised works from the brilliant Cabaret Mechanical Theatre collection.

Plymouth University has joined forces with one of the country’s favourite festivals to increase opportunities for engagement with the arts. The University is to become the official cultural and creative partner of the Port Eliot Festival, which takes place each summer at a country estate in South East Cornwall.
